Fiona Lacy

BA Hons, Master of Arts (Counselling Psych), Grad Dip Family Therapy, MAPS

Fiona has been registered as a psychologist since 1993, and has engaged in specialised training and practice in counselling psychology, psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential therapy, family therapy, and clinical hypnosis. She is also a member of the Australian Psychological Society. Fiona offers short-term goal-oriented counselling, as well as longer-term insight-oriented psychotherapy for individuals interested in understanding themselves and their issues at a deeper level. She also provides professional clinical supervision for counselling practitioners.

Fiona works with male and female clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, parenting concerns, trauma, and issues arising from a difficult childhood. Fiona has experience in working with women who are struggling with fertility issues, pregnancy loss (including miscarriage, stillbirth, perinatal loss, and pregnancy termination), and women who are suffering from postnatal depression. Fiona has a special interest in working with clients who are interested in engaging in depth psychotherapy, where issues are looked at in a deeper way and the client can become more aware of, and integrate, less conscious aspects of the self in order to lead to a more fulfilled and meaningful life.
