Melissa Grech

Melissa is a registered psychologist having completed a Masters in Counselling Psychology and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has experience working with a diverse spectrum of clients in private practice and also in community health settings. Melissa has worked with individuals presenting with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relationship difficulties and work life balance.

Melissa's counselling orientation is based in an emotion focused framework and incorporates strategies from a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy. She offers both short-term goal-orientated therapy, as well as long-term therapy that focuses on exploring deeper emotional issues. Melissa enjoys working with clients who are active participants in the counselling process and are looking to make positive changes in their lives. She believes the client is the expert in their own experience and therefore they are their greatest resource. Melissa works collaboratively with the client to increase their awareness of their emotions and towards achieving their goals in work, relationships and family life.
